Join us for a celebration of Jakuzuré 蛇崩 by Tetsuya Tabata and Mariana Verdaasdonk on Friday 31 January from 3-4pm, an immersive live event that brings sound, movement and projected imagery into active dialogue with the artistic environment created by the artists. Set entirely within the gallery space, this gathering transforms the installation into a live art space, where music, performance and visual projection unfold among the sculptural forms and shifting light of Jakuzuré.
Performers Michi Matsuda, Hanzi Trismegistus, Rebecca Youdell, Mariana Verdaasdonk and Anna Crooks will perform within and respond to the exhibition, while Tetsuya Tabata’s live visual projections and sound animate the gallery in real time. Rather than a single focal point, the performances emerge across the space, inviting audiences to wander, pause and immerse themselves in an evolving shared experience.
The closing of Jakuzuré becomes not an ending, but a moment of collective energy — a gathering that honours the exhibition’s spirit of openness and connection.
Please RSVP for catering purposes – we look forward to seeing you!
