Experience 4 magnificent new exhibitions including the inaugural presentation of ‘NGURRUWARRA/ DERNDERNYIN: Stone Fish Traps Of The Wellesley Islands’ from Mirndiyan Gununa Aboriginal Corporation, Mornington Island Art, ‘Conversations with my barista (real or imagined)’ by Cairns-based emerging artist Selina Kudo, ‘Facing Time: 50 Years’ by artists and long-term friends Euan Macleod with Cairns-based Geoff Dixon and a series of new editions produced through our SpotFire First Nations artist print program.

NGURRUWARRA/ DERNDERNYIN: Stone Fish Traps Of The Wellesley Islands was commissioned by the ARC Centre of Excellence for Australian Biodiversity and Heritage and coordinated by James Cook University. The exhibition will also travel to the Queensland Museum in 2024.
SpotFire has received funding through Regional Arts Development Fund, a partnership between the Queensland Government and Cairns Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
