This exhibition interrogates the ecological conundrums, concerns and issues of marine and coastal plastic pollution. ”
Robyn Glade Wright & Barbara Dover

A Queensland touring exhibition by Cairns-based artists Barbara Dover and Robyn Glade-Wright, Disquiet examines the anxieties surrounding human generated pressures on the marine environment. Created using discarded plastic and other debris that has been carried in from the sea and washed ashore along the Queensland coast, their work highlights the global issue of ocean pollution, and the plight of an increasingly threatened ocean ecology.

This project is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.

Touring to Artspace Mackay in Mackay (24 January – 5 April 2020)  NorthSite Contemporary Arts in Cairns (6 August – 26 September 2020), Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts in Townsville (29 January – 28 February 2021), and Gatakers Artspace in Maryborough (7 May – 27 June 2021). Project supporters James Cook University & roomsheet design by Aux Creative.
